GALWA Fetish 20th century. Height: 50 cm. Light wood, body covered in black, red and white plaster. This fetish features curious triangular scarifications on the abdomen. A moon-shaped design is carved into the lower abdomen. The patina of the face and body, where white (the colour of the invisible world), black (the colour of the material world) and red (the colour of the breath of life) are intermingled, is arranged according to a colour pattern typical of the Galwa world.
