FANG Fang Okak Janus fetish statue. From N’sam, near Médouneu (Gabon). 20th century. Height: 48 cm. An IR spectroscopy dating certificate (G. Matthaes patent) from the Museo d’Arte e Scienza, Milan, no. 6AF-3677, indicates a date of 1952 ± 8 years. Heavy wood, dark patina. This Janus statuette features a male face and a female face.
