An IR spectroscopy dating certificate (G. Matthaes patent) from the Museo d’Arte e Scienza, Milan, no. 1AS-9356, indicates the date as 1950 ± 8 years.
The centre of the face is white (kaolin), whilst the nose and the surrounding area are black. The mouth is chipped.
