Description
FANG Ngil mask. 20th century. Height: 67 cm. Light wood covered with white kaolin. A Fang ngil mask covered with white kaolin, whose long, imposing nose adds to the severity of the face, emphasised by the mouth and the eyes, which are stretched horizontally. Traces of carving with a adze are visible on the inside of the mask, which is surrounded by small holes used to attach the camouflage raffia garlands. Provenance: Pierre Redouin Collection.
