CARTIER No. 164028 Circa 1950 Ladies’ wristwatch in 18k yellow gold (750) Case: square, winding crown on the back, signed Dial: white, stylised hour markers, blued steel hands, signed Movement: Duoplan-type mechanical, signed Cartier Inc. Bracelet: flexible gold, integrated into the case Clasp: gold folding clasp, numbered 15983, hallmarked E.J Dimensions: 10 x 23 mm Gross weight: 37.60 g.   An 18k yellow gold hand-wound ladies’ wristwatch, with an integrated gold bracelet featuring a folding clasp stamped for Edmond Jaeger.   Bibliography: Jader Barracca, Giampiero Negretti, Franco Nencini, *Le Temps de Cartier*, Wrist International S.R.L, Milan, 1989; a similar example with a variant dial is reproduced on p. 268. CONDITION REPORT: Movement operational at the time of catalogue compilation. Good overall condition. Case showing a few micro-scratches, eagle’s head hallmark, ‘017153’ drypoint engraving on the middle. The last three digits of the case number (028) are inscribed on the inside. Well-preserved dial. Strap in good condition, with few signs of wear. 16-jewel movement, numbered 1347607. Servicing recommended. Please note that all watches are sold as is.
