François Léon SICARD (1862-1934). Agar and Ishmael, model of 1896 Rare proof in very high relief, in bronze with shaded brown patina Titled and signed at the bottom Foundry stamp Siot-Decauville, Paris H. 71 cm - W. 54 cm - D. 35 cm Note : This bronze illustrates a biblical episode from Genesis: Hagar, Abraham's servant and the mother of Ishmael, driven into the desert with her son, implores heaven when the child is in agony, before God intervenes to save them.
