A so-called ‘mystery’ wristwatch in 750/°°° rose gold and 800/°°° platinum, circa 1940, with a central camellia motif set with an antique cushion-cut diamond weighing approx. 1.20 ct (dimensions approx. 7.10 x 7.30 x 3.70 mm) surrounded by round rubies towards the cushion, revealing a watch dial signed ‘Chanteloup’. Tubogas-link bracelet. Clip-on case back, mechanical hand-wound movement (not guaranteed). Eagle’s head hallmark. Trace of a maker’s mark. Dial diameter: 33 mm. Wrist circumference: 16 cm.
