Cavalry officer's waistcoat. In red cloth, with two pockets and three rows of nine silver bell buttons on a brass core. Stitched collar, bib and spiked pocket edges trimmed with Soubise-style silver trimming. Ivory twill drape back marked in the 20th century "Off cavalerie Reston". Ivory twill and canvas lining, with small collector's lead. Collar height: 6 cm. Total height: 52 cm. A.B.E. First Empire - Restoration period.
