Ivory handle with filigree. Gilt brass mounting, lion's head cap with long tail. Beaded hilt. Slightly curved quillon ending in a square button. Round lion's head mounts. Flat-backed curved Solingen blade signed JJ RUNKEL SOLINGEN, hollow sides, engraved with scrolls, trophies of arms of the Great British Arms and the Royal Cypher "GR", gilt and blued (wear).
Black leather scabbard with three gilded brass fittings, line-decorated and cut. Hanging by leafed clevis knob and two rings.
Signed on the clevis "R JOHNSTON LATE BLAND & FOSTER SWORD CUTLERS & BELT MAKER TO HIS MAJESTY 68 ST JAMES STRT LONDON".
