COIGNET (JEAN-ROCH). Les Cahiers du capitaine Coignet (1776-1850). Paris, Librairie Hachette et Cie, 1888. Large in-4, viii-294-(2 of which the last is blank) pp. half garnet morocco with corners, spine ribbed, partitioned, mosaiced and decorated with flowers, double gilt fillet on the edge of the leather on the boards, gilt head; corners a little worn (H. Prat). CELEBRES MEMOIRES D'UN GROGNARD, of which the original edition, published in 1851-1853 in Auxerre, is particularly rare. The text has been prepared here by Lorédan Larchey.
