Beautiful ensemble. Court suit and waistcoat.
- Court coat in light brown woollen cloth, beautifully and finely embroidered in throw stitch
in multicoloured silk thread, oak leaves and flower buds en suite.
High collar and two pockets with notched flaps.
Sleeves with large lapels, each decorated with three sequentially embroidered buttons.
The suit is fastened at the front by nine large embroidered buttons and has two
expectations for wearing the plaque of the order of the Legion of Honour.

Biography :
Félix-Pascal BACIOCCHI, Prince of Lucques and Piombino, General of the Empire and legislator, (Ajaccio, 1762 - Bologna, 1841).
Born into a family of minor nobility, he was first second lieutenant in the Royal-Corsican regiment (1778), then lieutenant in the Corsican royal hunters (1788), before joining the armies of Var and Italy (1794), where he was promoted to infantry captain (1796), the year in which he asked Bonaparte, then general-in-chief of the army of Italy, for his sister Elisa's hand in marriage; Bonaparte refused, but the marriage nevertheless took place in Marseille in 1797.
Shortly afterwards he was appointed colonel of the 26th light infantry regiment (1802). Promoted to brigadier general, officer of the Legion of Honour and appointed member of the Conservative Senate (1804). Then created Prince of Lucca and Piombino and Grand Duchy of Tuscany, made Prince Imperial and Grand Eagle of the Legion of Honour (1805). Finally Major General (1809). Knight of the Order of Saint Joseph of Tuscany and Knight of the Spanish Order of the Golden Fleece (1805). Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Holland (1808). Grand Cross of the Imperial Order of Reunion (1812).
After the fall of the Empire in 1815, he retired first to Trieste and then, after Elisa's death in 1820, to Bologna. He is buried there with his wife in the Basilica of San Petronio.
