Description
Marshal Foch.
Waterman pump-action pen, in ebonite, overlaid with 14 carat gold, decorated with three brilliant-cut stars on the cap and the initials "F.F." on the top and three brilliant-cut stars on the barrel with the inscription "To the hero of the century Marshal F. Foch this pen is as a tribute and sign of recognition for his services to the cause of Lebanese independence. Ligue Libanaise du Progrès - Naoum A Mokarzei President - New-York 28 November 1921".
In its purple velvet case, accompanied by a handwritten letter of authentication in pen and ink with a description, written by Madame Marie Becourt, née Foch, eldest daughter of the Marshal (1885-1972), widow of the 1914/1918 war, dated "Paris 17 May 1962" and signed.

Biography :
Marshal Foch (1851-1929). A polytechnician by training, he was a professor of history and general tactics. In 1913, he commanded the 20th army corps before becoming head of the 9th army. In 1917, he became Generalissimo of the Allied armies and held this post until the German capitulation in November 1918.
