Waterman pump-action pen, in ebonite, overlaid with 14 carat gold, decorated with three brilliant-cut stars on the cap and the initials "F.F." on the top and three brilliant-cut stars on the barrel with the inscription "To the hero of the century Marshal F. Foch this pen is as a tribute and sign of recognition for his services to the cause of Lebanese independence. Ligue Libanaise du Progrès - Naoum A Mokarzei President - New-York 28 November 1921". In its purple velvet case, accompanied by a handwritten letter of authentication in pen and ink with a description, written by Madame Marie Becourt, née Foch, eldest daughter of the Marshal (1885-1972), widow of the 1914/1918 war, dated "Paris 17 May 1962" and signed.
