[Maréchal SOULT ] Living room furniture comprising five chairs and four armchairs in cream relacquered wood rechampi green, molded and carved with palmettes, rosettes and acanthus leaves. The belts are slightly curved. The chairs stand on tapered front legs and arched back legs. The armchairs have straight armrests with cuffs and rest on pilaster-shaped front legs and arched back legs. They are upholstered in an old Beauvais tapestry with polychrome decoration of fables in vine framing. By Jacob-Desmalter (not stamped) Empire period (some elements of a sixth chair, accidents and missing pieces). Upholstery in tapestry: (accidents, parts redone).
