A mantel clock in patinated and gilded regule, decorated with a depiction of a crowned medieval sovereign seated on a rock, holding a manuscript and a sword – probably Saint Louis. The circular dial is in white enamel with blue Roman numerals. The gilded regule base is richly decorated and features a central medallion depicting the façade of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
