RAPHAEL (1483–1520), after, ‘Allegory of Justice’, study in graphite, charcoal and red chalk, annotated in the top left-hand corner ‘Rome 1843’, 41 x 28 cm. Pinholes and tears along the edges. Study based on the fresco painted by Raphael around 1519, in the Constantine Chamber at the Vatican Palace. Provenance: Château de Normanville, Lévy auction, 1938.
