Marquay – ‘Prince Douka’ – (1948) An imposing cardboard box covered in embossed paper featuring a pattern of golden streamers, with a burgundy satin interior, containing three clear, moulded pressed-glass bottles of cubic cross-section in the shape of a square column, each set in a white satin case embroidered with gold thread and costume jewellery, the necks adorned with their gold-coloured labels, their frosted glass stoppers inlaid with a rhinestone depicting a head wearing a turban; the set depicts Prince Douka in ceremonial dress in three sizes.
