Louis Toussaint Piver – ‘Diableries’ – (1942–1945) A very rare and interesting set comprising a model of a ‘chapel’-style box made of cardboard covered with polychrome paper illustrated with little devils, a model of a standard box produced by Tolmer, a cardboard manufacturer, four gouache drawings, two drawings on tracing paper, a large-format drawing on tracing paper, a gouache drawing on paper, a polychrome banner label, and a letter dated 1942 sent by LT Piver to Madame Preveraud De Sonneville, the illustrator and designer of the motifs for the boxes and labels.
