Description
A giltwood MIDDLE TABLE, the inlaid sea-green marble top (brought back at a later date) resting on a belt decorated with a frieze of canals, supported by openwork console legs terminating in sabots and adorned with trelliswork and foliage; (restorations). Early 18th century, circa 1715-1720. H: 77 cm, W: 112 cm, D: 63 cm Provenance : Former collection of Camille Olry-Roederer (1892-1975), in the grand salon of his flat fitted out by Maison Jansen at 22 avenue Foch in Paris, his sale in Paris, Delorme study, 23 November 1976, collection of Antenor Patiño (1894-1982) in Paris; then his wife Beatriz Patiño (1911-2009), his sale in Paris, Sotheby's on 22 September 2010, lot 242.
