Description
François RUBESTUCK (1722-1785), awarded the title of Master in 1766. A veneered secretary with flap, decorated with floral bouquets, music, swallows, canopies and friezes of flowers. The jambs are cut with simulated fluting. It opens with a flap upholstered in green leather and gilded with foliate scrolls and putti, revealing four niches and six drawers decorated with inlaid flowers and surmounted by two leaves revealing two niches and two drawers. Stamped by the master and JME Louis XVI period Ornamented with chased and gilded bronzes such as pilaster falls, lock escutcheons with knotted ribbons and drawer handles.
