C. M. MAGNIEN for Claude-Matthieu MAGNIEN (1741 - 1829). Received Master in Paris on 17 April 1771.
SALON TABLE
Oval-shaped, in rosewood veneer, opening with three drawers separated by rails. The first drawer has a sliding writing tablet lined with red leather and decorated with small irons and writing instrument holders. On an arched base supported by a kidney-shaped brace.
Stamped.
Transitional period.
Veined white marble top surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. The base is on castors. Slight ornamentation in gilt bronze such as lock escutcheons.
