A large veneered chest of drawers, moulded, carved and stained in imitation mahogany, opening with two doors revealing six drawers and three drawers in the waist. Rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes decorated with foliage scrolls, lion's muffle, knotted ribbons and passementerie and bacchanalian scenes in medallions. On swivel feet with bronze hoofs in the shape of pine cones.

This chest of drawers was inspired by a prestigious model made in 1786, considered to be one of the most sumptuous of the reign of Louis XVI.
