LARGE PROVENÇAL CHEST OF DRAWERS of the ‘FOURQUES’ type, with a curved front, made of panelled walnut and moulded with scrollwork. It has three drawers with rounded sides. It stands on snail-shaped legs. Brass lock sets and pull handles with repoussé decoration featuring Camargue soil motifs. Period: Late 18th or early 19th century. H. 104.5 x W. 140 x D. 73 cm. (Traces of wood-boring insects, missing mouldings, cracks, damage and restoration, particularly to the rear left leg, gaps and stains in the patina.)
