Auguste Maximilien DELAFONTAINE (1813–1892). A pair of two-armed candelabra forming facing ‘Oriental-style’ lamps in gilded and patinated bronze. The centre is decorated with a heron perched on a tortoise and holding a snake in its claw. Mounted on a Griotte marble plinth in the form of a fluted column, with an octagonal base (damage). Napoleon III period. Height: 32 cm
