The Thorn-Puller, reproduction. Alabaster figure (slight damage and stains). It rests on a fluted circular plinth. 19th century. Height: 41 cm – Base diameter: 24 cm Note: The best-known bronze example of *The Thorn-Puller* is held at the Capitoline Museum in Rome; generally dated to the 1st century AD, it is a fine example of the eclectic style: ‘the Ancient after the Ancient’.
