Eugène de Beauharnais and Empress Joséphine.
Pair of patinated terracotta medallions.
Bears the inscription ‘Chinard à Lyon’ beneath the cut-out of the man’s bust and the inscription ‘Chinard de Lyon / de l’inst’ beneath the cut-out of the woman’s shoulder (one of the frames is damaged and both are dusty).
Diameter: 19.5 cm and 20 cm.
