A chiselled and gilded bronze clock decorated with a young child playing the aulos and vine tendrils (regilded, with some wear to the gilding).
The circular dial is enamelled white with blue Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the five-minute intervals and a minute track, signed ‘LECHOPIE à Paris’.
Two winding squares at four and eight o’clock; the movement is cord-wound, with a gong chime.
It rests on a quadrangular white marble plinth decorated with palmette friezes and on four spindle-shaped feet.
