A large, oblong platter with a high rim, re-drilled for handles made of polychromatic painted sheet metal. The reverse features a reproduction of a work by Georges MORLAND (1763–1804) entitled ‘A Fishing Trip’. Decorated with friezes of grapevines and gilded highlights on the rim (missing sections, scratches, wear). 19th century. Height: 60 cm – Length: 76 cm Note: The original painting, created in 1789, is held at the Yale Centre for British Art in the United States.
