DRESDEN. A set of polychrome glazed hard-paste porcelain, decorated with scenes of courtly love within cartouches and floral bouquets, accented with gilding (slight imperfections). Marked on the base. Late 19th century, early 20th century. It comprises: - a lidded soup tureen with a blue background, the handle shaped like a rosebud (saucer missing); Height: 12 cm – Width: 18 cm – Depth: 15 cm - a lidded soup tureen and its stand with a yellow background; Height: 10 cm – Width: 13 cm – Depth: 12 cm - a miniature cup and saucer. Cup height: 3 cm – Saucer diameter: 7 cm Also included is a circular ring holder in polychrome glazed porcelain with gilded highlights; the base is decorated with a Cupid, whilst the brass mount forms a bird with outstretched wings (significant wear to the gilding).
