Silver watch with an octagonal verge movement incorporating a sundial, marked ‘P.Cuper f[ecit] Ablois’, first quarter of the 17th century.
Silver dial, Roman numerals, a single silver hand.
Gilded brass movement, baluster pillars, openwork cock engraved with flowers, verge escapement, fusee with gut cord, ratchet wheel adjustment.
Plain silver case, with a sundial etched on the inside of the lid (gnomon present but detached).
7.2 x 4.4 cm.
