Case of a verge watch with a dial signed ‘Beranger à Genève’, c. 1760.
19th-century movement.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, gold hands.
Later movement in gilded brass with bridges and an anchor escapement.
Case middle in two-tone gold; bezels decorated with a frieze of leaves (broken hinge); back (possibly a replacement) in translucent royal blue enamel on a guilloché ground dotted with gold stars; engraved back plate.
Diameter 4.3 cm.
