Gold-bezel watch (weighing 69 g) with enamel work, signed ‘Gottlieb Wisack Regenburg’. Late 18th century. White enamel dial (possibly later, with minor imperfections), Roman numerals, ‘Breguet’ hands (later) in blued steel. Gilded brass movement, silver regulator disc, open-worked and engraved bridge with cock, verge escapement, cylindrical pillars. Gold case; the back features a polychrome enamel painting depicting a young lady playing the lute in a wooded landscape. Diameter 4.5 cm. Expert: Anthony TURNER
