Signed double-cased verge watch (movement) ‘Jn° Slatter London’, mid-18th century.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, openwork brass hands.
Gilded brass movement, large openwork and engraved cock and silver regulator disc, verge escapement, original pillars formed of a silver human head surmounted by an arch (one head missing).
Gilded brass case, double brass case covered in green shagreen (worn).
