Signed triple-cased silver staff watch (movement) ‘Dan[iel] Ge[orge] Plats London’, c. 1770. White enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, gilded and openwork brass hands. Gilded brass movement, silver regulator disc, openwork cock engraved with an additional cock’s head, verge escapement, square pillars; plain silver case and double case, triple case in silver covered with shagreen.
