Signed double-cased verge watch (dial and movement) ‘D. D. Neveren, London’, c. 1770.
White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, blued steel hands.
Gilded brass movement, silver regulator disc, openwork and engraved bridge, verge escapement, cylindrical pillars with rings; plain silver case and double case, the latter bearing a label by P. J. Dewijs, Goes. Diameter 5.7 cm.
D. B. D. Neveren (Neuren or Neweren), possibly of Dutch origin, is known to have been active between 1766 and 1784.
