Vermeil escape watch (weight: 122.77 g) signed (dial and movement) ‘Borel & Courvoisier London No. 2765’, circa 1888.
Partially gilded silver dial, entirely engraved in relief, Roman numerals, guilloché seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock with Arabic numerals, setting dial at 12 o’clock, blued steel hands.
Semi-plate movement with brass bridges, fusée and chain, detent escapement, compensated balance wheel, helical spring, ruby jewels.
Vermeil case bearing the Birmingham hallmarks for 1888/89.
