Magnificent illuminated manuscript in in-4 format with 64 leaves on vellum and two superb fold-out genealogical charts. Interesting and valuable heraldic and genealogical composition illustrated with a title in red and black letters framed by a watercolour composition, 3 large heraldic compositions (coats of arms) painted on full pages, 44 painted illuminated initials, 30 painted vignettes often illuminated and several simple initials in red ink.
Each painted composition has been covered with a red silk serpente to protect and avoid discharges, some traces of moisture and minor discharges, very good general condition, a rare piece of beauty in a period binding in full basane, 6-rib spine and ornate boxes gilt on edges, large gilt roulette framing the boards (slight rubbing not serious).
Dated late 1778, signed and with the seal "La imperial de Madrid" affixed.
