Description
Jean DESPRES (1880-1989) Modernist pendant consisting of a rectangular silver mount (800 thousandths) on which are applied four plates of ivory (Loxodonta africana) cut into a rectangle. At the end of the pendant, the mount holds a ball of blood jasper. The silver mounting is hallmarked with the guarantee hallmark (crab) and the master goldsmith hallmark: JD. Worked around 1930-1935, gross weight: 39.6 g . Dim. 5.5 cm diameter of the ball: 25 mm. width of the setting: 17.9 mm. The pendant is adorned with a black textile cord and silver fastening.
