Theodor KÄRNER (1884–1966) Reclining ram A rare piece in white porcelain glazed in cream and pink, characterised by its great naturalism, signed with the manufacturer’s mark in blue on the base Manufactured by “SS Allach” 11 x 17 x 5 cm Minor chips to the horns Founded in 1935, the Allach porcelain factory was placed under the control of the SS and integrated into its economic and ideological apparatus. Production took place within the confines of the Dachau concentration camp, where prisoners were subjected to forced labour, notably as moulders, porcelain makers, painters and labourers. Objects produced by this factory thus constitute material evidence of a historical period marked by Nazi dictatorship, persecution, the concentration camp system and crimes against humanity. Their significance cannot be separated from the criminal conditions under which some of them were produced. The German objects offered at our auctions are presented exclusively as collectables and historical artefacts, intended in particular for collectors, researchers, history enthusiasts and museums. Their presentation, description and sale are in no way intended to glorify, trivialise or condone the Nazi regime, its ideology or the crimes committed in its name. Trianon Enchères unreservedly condemns Nazi ideology, anti-Semitism, racism, persecution and all war crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated by that regime.
