Francesco FERRARA (1810–1900), Italian economist and minister. Autograph letter, Turin, 31 August 1850, to Joseph Garnier; 2 pages, in-4; in French. He has been entrusted with the editorship of a ‘Collection of Economists’ published by Cugini Pomba, the first volume of which, *Les Physiocrates*, has already appeared; the publisher believes ‘that, in order to sustain the enthusiasm and interest of his subscribers, it would be advisable to reverse the order of publication, by inserting a volume of modern authors between two volumes of classical authors’.
