L.A., Limoges, 4 February 1770, to Antoine-Bertrand Caillard, legation secretary under the Count of Boisgelin, His Majesty’s Minister Plenipotentiary in Parma, in Paris; 1 page in-4, addressed, red wax seal. ‘It is still impossible for me, my dear Caillard, to send you the letter to Voltaire today [Turgot was writing to Voltaire, under Caillard’s cover and using the pseudonym Abbé de L’Aage]. At the very least, should it not reach you in time, you could have it dispatched from some Italian town, such as Genoa or Turin, by paying the postage. For it must not be sent from Parma.
