Archival records and family letters. * Notarial deed concerning his great-great-uncle Antoine Turgot, Chevalier de Saint-Clair, Master of Requests, 1689; life annuity signed by, amongst others, his father Michel-Étienne, August 1734; memorial setting out Michel-Étienne’s qualifications for admission to the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, 1737; genealogical table; copy of an epistle on Turgot by Voltaire... * File concerning a branch of the family. – Philibert Turgot (1734–1802): laissez-passer issued by the Provisional Committee of the Hôtel-de-Ville in Paris, 25 July 1789, and minutes of the administration of the canton of Vézelay, December 1797, concerning the destruction of an aqueduct by residents of Saint-Père. – Alfred Turgot (1796–1848), son of the above: autograph letter, 1824; signed passport, 1823; 15 letters addressed to him (most concerning the Puy-de-Dôme and Vézelay, his birthplace); plus two files, one concerning Captain Jean-Paul Moncla, his wife’s brother (approx. 25 documents, signed by Pille, Berthier, and Dreux-Brézé), and the other concerning his daughter and son-in-law Charles Le Tors de Crécy, captain of a regiment of Zouaves, killed at Sevastopol in June 1855 (50 items, including about twenty relating to the Crimean War). – Amédée Turgot (1829–1897), son of the above: 27 letters to his family, 1866–1882, 7 letters addressed to him or his wife, plus a few documents including his certificate of appointment as mayor of Saint-Laurent d’Arce, his marriage contract, identity card, etc. – Antoine Turgot (1870–1924), son of the above: a photograph, 3 letters addressed to him or his wife, and various documents.
