Minutes of the meetings of Commission No. 6 of the Medical Congress, held on 4, 7 and 8 November 1845. These minutes were drawn up by the secretary, Requin, and co-signed by the other two members of the bureau: Hugues-Félix Ranque (1780–1847), chair, and Pirre-Adolphe Piorry (1794–1879), vice-chair. All the participants’ contributions are recorded; in particular, the discussions covered the organisation of the medical profession and the two medical colleges, the abolition of health officers and their admission to the doctorate, the eligibility requirements, etc.
