Description
Ludwig van BEETHOVEN (1770–1827). Two Sonatas for the Pianoforte composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. II. Continuation of the *Répertoire des Clavécinistes* (Zurich, published by Jean George Naigueli, [1804]); oblong folio format, [2 ff.]-40 p.-1 blank f., untrimmed, in a modern paper board binding. First edition of Sonata Opus 31 No. 3, and a reprint of Sonata Opus 13. This *Répertoire des Clavecinistes* was a musical periodical published from 1803 in Zurich by Hans Georg Nägeli. Sonata I [Op. 13] occupies pp. 1–19, Sonata II [Op. 31/3] pp. 20–40. There are a few old annotations regarding the numbering of the sonatas. Some slight marginal water-stains. At the front is the rare and very beautiful engraved title page from the *Répertoire des Clavécinistes* series, decorated with figures and engraved by Lale.
