Antonio SALIERI (1750–1825). *Les Danaïdes*, a lyric tragedy in five acts set to music by Salieri, a pupil of Gluck (Paris, Des Lauriers, [c. 1792]); folio volume comprising [1 title leaf] and 274 pages, in an old cardboard binding with a green parchment spine, bearing a printed label from the Bureau d’Abonnement de Partitions Anciennes et Nouvelles, ‘A la Muse du Jour’, at Cochet… (covers scuffed; trace of a detached label at the bottom of the title page). Orchestral score, reprinted c. 1792 from the plates of the first edition of 1784, dedicated ‘to the Queen’ Marie-Antoinette. Title and music engraved; page number 16.
