Hermann SCHERCHEN (1891–1966). Signed photograph and programme.
A photographic print of a youthful profile portrait, onto which a signature reading ‘Hermann Scherchen’ has been affixed. Concert programme from the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna (4–5 January 1956), signed by Scherchen and Wilhelm Backhaus.
Also included is a photograph of Scherchen in his research studio (contact print); and a fine photograph of the opera singer Magda Olivero, inscribed to Myriam Scherchen (1996).
