Description
Tristan DERÈME (1889–1941). Autograph manuscript signed ‘for Philippe Chabaneix T.D.’, 1925: small quarto notebook comprising 11 leaves (used on the front), with a pink cover. An annotated collection of press cuttings. Derème compiled press cuttings relating to his friend, the poet Philippe Chabaneix: articles by A. Beaunier, Rancèze, L. Treich, N. Ruet, and articles written by him, which he occasionally comments on in the margins. On three handwritten pages, he copies an epigram by Fernand Demeure, and his reply in verse, as well as other verses in response to Franc-Nohain and Noël Ruet, and concerning Charles Derennes. A handwritten letter is enclosed, along with a small press clipping (25 January 1927). Also enclosed is a handwritten poem by Alain Bosquet, signed ‘unpublished’: ‘One day, tired of being human’… (11 lines), dated Copenhagen, June 1987 (half a folio page).
