Description
ISRAEL. Moshe DAYAN (1915–1981), Israeli general, Minister of Defence and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Israel. L.S., Tel Aviv, 5 June 1972, to Philippe Lechartier; half-page, typewritten, on A4 paper bearing the letterhead ‘The Minister of Defence’, with a small vignette (creases); in French. A note of thanks in response to a letter of congratulations sent to him by Philippe Lechartier, commending the firmness Dayan had shown in the face of various terrorist acts. Enclosed is a letter from R. Alonin, Mr Dayan’s private secretary (1 October 1972) on the same subject, and two typewritten copies of letters from Lechartier to General Moshe Dayan following ‘the despicable attacks by Palestinian terrorists ’ (15 May and 6 September 1972).
