MAXIMILIAN I (1459–1519). L.S., Pfunts, 31 July 1496, to Ludovico Maria Sforza, Duke of Milan; 1 oblong page in-4, address on the spine with traces of a red wax seal; in Latin. He intercedes on behalf of two of the Duke’s subjects, the brothers Ambrose and Francis Visconti (‘Ambrosius et Franciscus de Vicecomitibus fratres subditi tui’), who are guilty of murder.
