File concerning the sale to the King [Louis XVI] of a large plot of land and buildings for the construction of a hospital on the site of the former Popincourt convent. ‘Sale of land and buildings by the Viscount de Blosseville, Perrot de Chezelles and Valentin to the King for the establishment of a hospital for the Paris Guard, 13 January 1787’, ‘sale of the church’, etc. File originating from Perrot de Chezelles, one of the three owners. Enclosed is a collection of six printed documents concerning the Calf Market, 1708–1774, and in particular the establishment of a new calf market within the Bernardins enclosure in 1774.
