Paul SOLEILLET (1842–1886), explorer of Africa, Rimbaud’s companion in Aden. Autograph letter, Paris, 30 November 1884, to Mr Gravier; 1 page, in-8, vignette (map of Africa with the motto ‘Aperta’). He informs his correspondent that ‘Gautier, Cugnard and I shall be at your office on Sunday 7 December at 1 pm, as these gentlemen can only reach Paris on the 11.30 am train’. He signs: ‘Paul Soleillet, traveller’.
